Intermediate Exercises for
Athletes
A CFZ Level 3 Seminar (must have been training at Level 2 for at least
12 weeks) Thursday December 2, 2010 Canine Fitness Zone 3801 South Mason Street Fort Collins, CO 80525 (970)
988-7997 sasha@caninefitnesszone.com The goal of athletic training
is to increase muscle output for improved performance while decreasing the risk for injury. Physiologically, muscles and nerves
accommodate to exercises - their ability to gain strength plateaus, limiting the body's ability to excel beyond its current
performance level. Increasing exercise intensity with plyometrics, coordination, and balance prevents accommodation.
In this 90 minute Level 3 CFZ Seminar your dog, with their savvy shaping skills (they need to have a working knowledge of
this training method to complete the exercises safely), will learn how to consistently and accurately have two to four feet
on an unstable surface during exercises; increased power, drive, and accurate coordination are the end result. Equipment used
in this class: balls, balance boards, and balance stones.
