South Mesa Welcomes Stretch!
South Mesa Vet Clinic in Fort Collins, CO is the first franchise home for Love Dogs. Stretch Dogs. LLC Starting
in February 2009 we will be offering weekly stretch classes, 1-on-1 classes, on-site clinical training sessions (for other
vet clinics who would like to use the technique in their practice), and full day professional seminars. Everyone
is invited to the open house which is tentatively set for Spring 2009. LDSD LLC has also been invited to teach
full day and weekend stretch seminars throughout the United States. If you are interested in bringing a seminar to your area,
please email info@stretchthedog.com. The seminar host recieves free admission. The fall newsletter is now on-line and contains information about
"silent injuries" and the importance of having dogs screened prior to beginning a stretching program. Have a great fall! Sasha

Publication Date Change
We have the wonderful opportunity to integrate even more veterinary recommendations into the book so we are jumping at the
chance. What a great gift to our dogs to have this important information explained more in depth with our continuing tilt
toward canine advocacy. What this means, though, is that the publication date will now be some time in early 2009. We promise,
it will be worth the wait! Due to the fact that we won't yet have a book for the fall classes, we are moving all classes
into 2009. We will forward the exact dates when we have them. We continue to do the free seminars in the Front Range area
so send an e-mail if you would like for us to do a seminar for your group.
Thank you, everyone, for your continuing
support. Sasha

Where to find the technique
Please see the Demonstrations & Signings Tab for updated information on where you can see the stretch technique. We are
currently teaching free one-hour seminars in Colorado on the Front Range. Send us an e-mail if your club/group would like
to have an introduction to the technique.
Hope you're all having a great summer. It's staying cool in
Fort Collins, and the dogs are loving it!

Lang Institute of Canine Massage
I would like to thank the Lang Institute of Canine Massage for inviting Ashley and I to teach my technique to their massage
class last week.
We were fortunate enough to have Sally, a rescued desert Saluki preparing for her prosthetic
limb, on the massage table (you can check out Sally on Zootube.com). The combination of the Lang Institute's massage techniques
and The Foster Institute's stretching technqiues were a remarkable combination. Using the joint stabilization method from
stretching allowed the dog's leg to relax into a position that allowed us to really stretch deeply into the hamstrings
and hip flexors. We then stayed on to teach the muscle cell physiology that supports the technique.
Class schedules
have been set for the fall. Please see the Seminar Tab for specific details. I've had a lot of e-mails throughout the
United States asking for the classes. Currently classes are only offered in Fort Collins, Colorado, but we will be expanding
with Franchises later this year. If you are interested in teaching this technique in your area, please let me know and I'll
keep you informed as to when the Franchise Training Program is scheduled.
Thanks you to everyone for your support! Sasha
